Little Acorns

September 2016

What a busy start we have had to the new term. The children are settling into nursery really well, getting to know each other and having lots of fun.

There have been many opportunities for art activities. We are exploring shapes at the moment and are incorporating circles into our work, some of which will be used in our garden. This concept has extended into bubbles and we have used them in painting as well as sensory activities like a foaming footbath.

On Tuesday mornings we join the Bookbug session at the local library. We meet other children and their families and have a lovely time listening to familiar songs and rhymes.

As a way of recording our many activities and adventures in nursery we have started to make a special book. The children have been involved with creating artwork for the front cover, adding handprints to the inside pages and choosing the photographs which will appear inside. This is an ongoing project and will be added to as we progress throughout the year.
