Nursery
All pupils have been settling into their new classes and getting involved in lots of exciting art projects. The nursery have been busy in art and drama exploring the theme ‘Shape’ where they focused on circles, big and small. Using their hands and feet to print with the pupils created wonderful mobiles for their playground. The class are also enjoying the wonderful piano accompaniment during art and drama performed by our new volunteer from George Heriots.
Primary
The primary department are having lots of fun exploring the rainforest in both art and drama. Lots of different art techniques are being explored while creating interesting 2D and 3D art work (pictures to follow). In drama the pupils are enjoying being jungle explorers both in and out of class in the Millennium woods.
Secondary
The theme this term for the secondary department is ‘Community’ where in art the pupils are enjoying creating prints and models focusing on houses. The pupils are also having fun exploring different areas of the community within our drama story and reinforcing this by having visits out in the community.
Seniors
As part of their Asdan and SQA work our seniors are busy exploring various printing methods using’ Thailand’ as a theme. Watch this space for more photos.
