Stressed out? What is out there for our children?

Stressed out? Fed up? Trying to think of things to do with your disabled child at the weekend?

We have just the thing for you….

Friday 29th September at 7 pm in St Columba’s Church, Johnston Terrace, Edinburgh EH1 2PW. We are inviting parents from Braidburn, St Crispin’s and Oakland’s schools to come and join our evening exploring what is out there for our children?

We are inviting a couple of speakers, from local services, to talk about what is available for disabled children in and around Lothian. We will also have a suggestions board to share ideas about what activities have worked for you. We want to hear: why was the activity good for your disabled child, was it adaptable, good changing facilities, staff that can communicate, sign, understanding of behavioural difficulties etc.. This will then be created into a resource and shared via our Parent Councils.

We also know that as parents, we do not get many opportunities to share experiences and to hopefully relax and have some fun…so there will be nibbles, soft drinks, a quiz and you can bring wine (if you wish).

The event is free. If you are interested and wish to reserve a place can you please respond to your parent council representative below by Monday 26th June 2017.

We look forward to seeing you there!
