It’s brilliant to have (almost all!) of our children and young people back to school today!
It’s great to be back together and everyone seems to be settling well in to their new classes.
Particular mention to our new P1 and S1 pupils. It’s a big day for them and their families and they can be very proud of their first day. 🙂

Our school community came together to celebrate our amazing children and young people today. There was even a very special Call and Response for our very own, Morna.
Does this level of pride ever diminish, I wonder?

We’re not quite “finished”!
This month’s functional core word across the school is “finished”. It’s a great way to end another fantastic year developing our inclusive communication approach here at Oaklands.
Parents – look out for your postcards, with symbols, signs and ideas for practising “finished” at home!
We are looking forward to seeing many of our families and friends of Oaklands at our Achievement Assembly on Wednesday 27th June at 10.00am.
This is when we get to celebrate all the wonderful things our fabulous children and young people have achieved this year.
