Fingers crossed for spring weather soon!

We anticipate the weather will improve over the next day or so but significant snowfall in parts of the city mean that even with the best efforts of the council, not all areas will be fully cleared.

Fire exits and entry paths are the minimum expectation for schools and it is anticipated that this will be in place for Monday. Playgrounds, car parks and other pathways may need additional clearance. 

We hope to get over the school tomorrow to have a look and  complete a risk assessment on Sunday.

Good morning everyone,

We have been advised that all Edinburgh Council schools will remain closed tomorrow, Friday 2nd March, to all pupils and staff, due to the ongoing weather conditions.

Please keep checking the website over the weekend for further details about pupils returning to Oaklands next week.

Until then, please stay safe and warm.

Given the red warning from the Met office, the council has closed all Edinburgh Council schools and nurseries again tomorrow, Thursday 1st March .

We are sorry to have to postpone our World Book Day assembly but will be in touch soon if we are able to reschedule .

Please keep safe and warm and hopefully staff and pupils will be safely back to school on Friday 2nd March.
