Aspen Class

Aspen’s class teacher this year is Corbin Sharp. Watch this space for updates from Aspen class throughout the year!

Aspen Class have had a super busy start to the new school year. We’ve made good use of the nice weather and have been out to the allotment to make wind spinners and explore what’s grown and changed over the summer. Also, we have out into the woods, experiencing and finding what interests the young people. We’ve started to collect materials for books we are making around the theme ‘All About Me’ with the young people starting to create a text about themselves.

The class have got stuck into our sewing project, with the pupils using switches and the sewing machine as they explore using different craft tools. They are aiming to first make a cushion cover and then we’ll see what we can make next. Great British Sewing Bee here we come!

In short, the pupils have had a great start back and we can’t wait to get into the autumn term.
