December 2025
Willow class enjoyed a busy and often magical few months. A lot of activities happened around festivals such as Halloween, with our very own minions and pumpkins amongst other characters. The young people always enjoy a party with games and dancing and a highlight was the sensory story around the school for Room on the Broom. They also enjoyed joining a Diwali Assembly and having Albi along for some Latin dancing on Fridays. We have been on a few outings, and the young people have all coped really well with the noise and crowds and have
particularly enjoyed all the sensory experiences offered by the pre-Christmas preparations. We have been busy getting the Christmas show background painted, we hope you are impressed by our African
sunset. We have also worked hard getting our enterprise hot chocolate mugs, Christmas cards, pens and pakoras ready for the Christmas market. Everyone is enjoying the build up to Christmas, decorating our tree with lights and baubles, dancing to Christmas songs and exploring different media through art.

September 2025
Willow class is enjoying a busy and settled start to the new session. We have enjoyed the good sunny days by exploring the Primary playground, woods and the allotment where we picked wildflowers for all the parents. We are getting to know each other through the topic ‘This is me’ with lots of opportunities to admire ourselves in the mirror and what a gorgeous group we are! Favourite activities are floor play after lunch, the magic carpet room and of course the clown doctors are always very popular, putting the biggest smile on everyone’s faces. We have started cooking, focusing on pakoras and curries, exploring the spices and ingredients and composting afterwards. We are also enjoying sensory stories with a focus on identity, including sharing photos of our precious grannies.
