Spruce Class

August-December 2016

Seniors have been continuing work with their enterprise projects and linking this in with the community theme for this term. We have had a few trips out to Cragie Farm to pick some fruit for our jam, and now that the weather is getting cooler a few pupils are going out on public transport to the shops to buy our fruit. We have also been making cards which we sell as part of our enterprise and are now moving on to packs of Christmas cards, and chocolate cards as the Christmas season approaches. After the holidays we are hoping to bring out some new products in time for Christmas, so look out for these!

Seniors class have been very much enjoying their weekly trip to Music for All, this is a great experience for everyone and we are all having a great time! Some pupils from the class are also enjoying an opportunity to go to Craigroyston School for Chef Classes and Edinburgh College (Granton) for sports classes. These opportunities for pupils to get out of school and partake in activities with others is a great experience for all involved.

Seniors were also responsable for the schools harvest collection which was very successful and we recieved a lot of kind donations; which we will be taking along to donate to the food bank.
