January 2017
Class S1/S2 have had a very busy start to the new term.
The theme for us this term is Europe so we are beginning to explore different countries in a variety of ways including painting flags in art, listening to different styles of music and cooking things from different countries. Throughout the term we will learn more about what comes from the different countries in Europe. We have had lots of fun outings in the first few weeks of term, the whole class went to Kings Theatre to enjoy a fantastic performance of the pantomime, ‘Jack and the beanstalk’, all the pupils thoroughly enjoyed this experience.
We have had two sessions at ‘The Yard’ which were a bit chilly but lots of fun! The pupils enjoyed exploring the outside space and the musical instruments indoors. Some of our pupils took part in this year’s Boccia Festival at the Jack Kane Centre, the pupils took part brilliantly and enjoyed this very successful event.
