November 2016
We’ve been pleased to welcome Frances Duncan to our class team. Frances is now the class teacher on a Monday and Tuesday. Some of the children already knew Frances from nursery and were delighted to see her again.
We recently had our Class 3 Assembly. We shared our RME sensory story from last term, The Enormous Turnip. Everyone enjoyed helping to pull the enormous turnip out of the ground. Each class was invited to bring along some toy farmyard animals and we finished off with Old MacDonald.
This term in RME we are learning about festivals of light including Diwali and Christmas. We’ve been very creative making lanterns and candle holders. We’ve had fun dancing in the dark to Rhianna under a parachute before lighting everything up with our lanterns and other light up toys.
We are looking forward to the lead up to Christmas as we are going to be very busy. We have started rehearsing for our 10th Anniversary Christmas show which will take place on the 15th of December. Some of our pupils will be going on the Santa barge and others have been Christmas shopping at John Lewis. We also have a Christmas trip to the Yard planned for the last week of term.
