December 2016
We have had a very busy few weeks. Four of our pupils went on a Santa Barge trip along the canal. They not only met Santa but they also spotted lots of cartoon characters along the way. A few members of our class went to John Lewis. They visited the Christmas Department of John Lewis and then got a chance to look and play with the toys in the Toy Department. They also chose a decoration to bring back for our school Christmas tree.
We had a fantastic end of term 10th Anniversary Christmas Show. The children and staff had great fun and it was lovely to see so many parents and relatives there. Class 3 performed ‘Whit the Clockleddy Heard,’ the Scots version of the Julia Donaldson book ‘What the Ladybird Heard’. The children did very well, particularly our two robbers who were chased off the stage by the ‘polis’.
We are looking forward to the last week leading up to Christmas. We have our Class 3 Christmas Party coming up on Tuesday with party games and party food. On Wednesday we have our Christmas Lunch where we will get to enjoy a big roast dinner with all our friends. On Thursday, we are having a Christmas Jumper/Disco morning. We’re planning to dress up in our favourite Christmas Jumpers or t-shirts and boogie the morning away to some Christmas tunes. We’ll be ready for the holidays after all that excitement.
