Willow Class

January 2017

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from everyone in Class 3.

We had a busy first week back at school. We visited the Festival Theatre to see the production “The Polar bears are up”. The children in our class loved the show as it was very sensory with fantastic lights and music.

In Class 3 we have already started working on our new topic “Flavours of the World”. We are finding out about China, Australia and Egypt. We are learning about the traditions of each of the countries, what food and drink are eaten there, the type of clothes that are worn and the music that is traditionally played. We will also be taking part in themed dance sessions from each country. In RME we will be learning about a major religion from each area. We have started looking at Buddhism and have experienced chanting and playing instruments in class, exploring artefacts and smelling incense as well as making our own prayer flags.
